Rest Hour is a good time to read and write letters about farm adventures at camp.

Berry-picking, at peak season, is a fun and yummy afternoon activity. Dr. Frank offers an afternoon activity with a vet emphasis. For the camper wanting to explore a non-traditional vocational path. Giving the calves a bath before our Farm Show is both fun and refreshing.

Daily Schedule and Activities

Although the animals play the leading role in our summer program, during a two-week stay girls should expect to choose their afternoon activities from this ever expanding list: biking, hiking, canoeing, creative writing, tennis, music, cooking, painting, small construction projects, newspaper, poetry, field trips, origami, fishing, and even laundry! Evening activities could be cabin or all-camp, in the field, studio or off-farm and might include rollerskating, a county fair, bowling, SPA night, karaoke, Bingo and/or theatre games.

A confident camper changes the oil of the tractor. At the laudromat. Even laundry can be good, clean fun (fun camp). Arts and crafts project displayed at the PA Festival of the Arts, State College, PA. Our hand-painted Ayrshire cow showcases the entire girls camp population. All join in to help churn the home-made ice cream. Good food. Making music Hameau-style. Our band practices for an evening activity. Biking safely on the back roads in the Big (Kishacoquillas) Valley. An afternoon activity of hiking on Jack’s Mountain. We are on the trail of something exciting. Unloading the hay wagon can be fun with a group of helping hands.
